This is the story told to me (Arvilla Rae Sanders Moore) one day in April
1961, by my Grandfather, Thomas Wangsgaard. He was born on February 28, 1884,
in Huntsville, Utah, to peter Christian Wangsgaard and Ingeborg Nielson.
He said, "I was known as "Little Tommy", because I was a sickly child. I
was the seventh child of a family of thirteen, five girls and eight boys.
At the age of seventeen I worked with cattle, for Hansen Livestock Co.,
    riding and feeding.
When I was twenty-one I went to Wyoming to try farming. There I met and
married Barbara Race on May 8, 1906. Our daughter, Arvilla Bernice, was born
    on March 12, 1907.
When little Bernice was just eight years old we were divorced. The court
    granted Bernice to me.
Bernice and I moved to Utah where I met Annie Josephine Johnson and married
    her June 21, 1915.
We had a daughter, Florence May, born to us April 21, ______, and two
little boys who died right after they were born.
I went to school in Huntsville, Utah. President David O.McKay was one of
my teachers. I've been to the McKay home many times and even courted David's
    sister."

((I think it is interesting to note that Grandpa was baptized September 3,
1916. He and Annie were members of the church most of their married life
before they went to the temple on _____________ and Mother and Daddy went with
them. Mother was sealed to Grandpa and her stepmother.)

Thomas Wangsgaard told this story to Arvilla Rae Sanders Moore in April,
1961. "Great, Great Grandfather, Christen W., and Great Grandfather Peter,
walked across the plains from Omaha, Nebrasks, to Salt Lake City, Utah.
Great Grandmother Ingaborg Neilson came six years later with a family. She
was nineteen. She helped the family care for the children. They left from
Grand Island, Nebraska. She carried a baby or pushed a handcart all the way
    across the plains.
When she arrived in Salt Lake the husband of the family she came with
wanted to take her as a second wife, but she wouldn't do it.
She met Peter, a widower with two children, and married in the Endowment
    House.
    Peter quit the church.
Ingaborg had thirteen children and raised twelve besides Peter's two
    children.
The youngest of Peter's two children died and left two boys for her to
    raise.
