    to Utah by covered wagon. Great Grandmother, Louisa Vest Race, never reached
    Utah. She was shot by the Indians while making the beds in the covered wagon.
    She was buried on the plains.
    Joseph Race (Great Grandfather) moved on with his family, settling at
    Payson City, Utah. Great Grandfather Race had long hair. He died in Utah.
